Default 2007 Range Rover L322 TDV8 cuts out when accelerating up hill

Hi all,

I have just joined this forum. My Range Rover TDV8 L322, randomly cuts out when applying power going up hill. I get an engine failure message on the dash. I pull over switch off and then switch back on and runs ok, I am wondering if is a gear box problem as it seems to struggle to get through the gears quickly and then cuts out.

Has anyone had this problem, any advice is very welcome.

I have the same issue with my L322 tdv8 3.6 (2008), exactly as you describe. Just have to add that when you run un low rebs, you feel the car with little power when you accelerate, and wen you are going up hill on low revs, it goes into limp mode (2RMP).

i hace visit many “experts” even a certified local reseller, but nobody could said exactly what was going on. So finally y decider to call a friend of mine that have all tools and start investigating, after 3 hours we figures out that both EGR PIPES where leaking a lot of air, we take them out, reinstalled making sure there wasn't any air leak (throwing water with soap on them meanwhile accelerating) and “magic” the power came back, and there is no more “stall”

so, in a nut shell, if you are lucky you issue is related to a air pressure loss. In the worst case, TURBO or TUrbo actuators .

hope you arelucky!
