RRS TDV8 2007 Fuel Issue (P2290)
Good Afternoon,
I have a issue with my fuel and getting a fault P2290. Changed fuel filter last night and seemed far better at first however still feels to be lagging slightly in power before it shifts gear. Then all of the a sudden the issue started again, this was however as the tank was getting low on fuel, thinking of low pressure fuel pump next as been the problem. Got one on order and ready to replace. Am i correct in thinking that there is a access panel under rear seats instead of having to drop fuel tank to replace this part?
Hoping so.
Many thanks in advance.

Well if your fault is injector control pressure too low. it's a problem in the high pressure fuel system. (HPFP, rail or injectors)
do you have a scanner and can you monitor your rail pressure while cranking, on idle and under load?

Thanks Bidong
I monitored this last night on my live data reader and the car seems to build pressure upto full pressure but then say the car is holding the revs the fuel pump start dropping pressure and seems to not maintain the pressure.
my dad has the same car and engine so I ran my live data on his and his builds pressure then holds it on a horizontal line until the car shifts gear and the car drops the revs ready to go again.
would you assume this to be the high pressure fuel pump? I’ve now replace the fuel filter and the low pressure pump but neither have rectified so far.
many thanks
