Default 5L V8 Supercharged: Resonator Vs Muffler Delete

Just wondering has anyone done a resonator or muffler delete for the RR Supercharged ? Which would provide a better sound? Yes I know it's a luxury car and meant to be quiet but I would still like some oomph when I hit the gas .

No personal experience with that vehicle, but I would remove the resonator first.
If that isn't enough, put it back and remove the muffler.
All you need to be legal, pass state inspection, and to pass emissions is the catalytic converter, with a tail pipe exiting the vehicle.
There are no specific laws on how loud any vehicle can be, however, that is a gray area, as it is at the cop's discretion, if they say it's too loud, then you get a warning or ticket.
You would probably be better off with no resonator and the aftermarket muffler You prefer the sound of.
And know that alot of mufflers, especially FlowMaster, sound good, but drone terribly at cruising speeds.
Good luck with it.

Yeah my issue is more with drone rather than cops. Thanks for the tip! I'll try to remove the resonator first than the mufflers if it's not loud enough. Would there be any difference as compared to purchasing branded exhaust systems like Hamann, Startech etc ?

I have heard the 4.4 Jag V8 with the resonators removed and I liked the sound a lot. It's on my to do list for my LR3

When they say resonator delete, are they talking about the red part, the blue part, or have both removed?

May as well pull both to see how you like it. You’ll still be left with your catalytic converters and muffler. Be sure to post a before and after video so anyone else who may be considering the same thing can get an idea of the difference in sound.
