Hey everyone,
I have been using a shop in Denver called Buds Muffler. They are excellent. Fast, fair pricing, and honestly they know what they are doing. I went in thinking that if I cut out my resonator I would get a little bit more sound, which they said is true. But, my guy at the shop then recommended that I just cut out the muffler and put in two straight pipes. I was thinking to myself that it would be too loud for my preferences, but it is the small and subtle upgrade that my exhaust system needed. I'll post videos so you can hear the difference, but I love being able to hear the true roar of the V8!

I cut off my tail pipes for more clearance, but I have really enjoyed the little extra rumble too. It so subtle that I only hear it with the windows down. Not even my wife noticed the difference, but it makes me smile.



I had turn down tips and flanges bolted on so they could be easily reattached if needed to pass inspection. ($140) That was a couple years ago and have never needed them.

 

Yeah I cut ours off right behind first muffler, it was not loud, sounded good but not loud, my d1 with no cats and welded thrush is loud

It's got video as well for some sound... sorry, tires are also very loud.

I've had it like this for a couple months now, I really really like it. Its very quiet normally, and really quite loud when I stomp it.
