Default 93' RANGE draining battery

hey guys, I have a 1993 Range Rover LWB with a 4.2L in it. Ever since I bought the truck it has had a battery draining issue. The battery was replaced with a yellow top optima, with no change. Also the alternater was test and turned out fine, charging the battery normally. I also took a multi meter and checked the battery for draw, and only about .5 volts was being drawn which was only the interior clock. I have a main kill switch on the truck so that I'm able to turn off the battery, when I turned the battery switch on and off, the only difference in the reading was .5.

*I am all out of ideas can any one help, or has any found a better solution then a battery kill switch? lol

Thank you for taking time to read this, and for any suggestions.

Does your interior lights, headlights, HVAC unit flicker? I had the battery drain on mine a couple of times and a few guys suggested that the alternator was bad on mine. I took in the alternator and they checked it at the auto parts store and 1 shop said it was good and the other said it was bad! I checked the battery while it was running and I am getting 15.5 volts (12 volts with vehicle off), so its making think the alternator might be okay?

well my interior lights dont work half the time, my headlights dont flicker neither does the HVAC unit. I also just recently had my alternater checked and its put out plenty of volts. but as soon as I turn the truck off with all the lights off, the only thing still on is the dashboard clock, which is only supposed to draw about .2-.5 volts. But the RRC is draw just over an 1.2. could it have something to do with the fact that my doom light and ciggerette lighter does not work? along with the cruise control too.
