95 rover newbi
I just recently purchased a 1995 land rover classic for $950 bucks, Ive always wanted one and i am just now able to get one , well...its trashed! motor knocks trans slips in park it rolls (i have to use park brake to keep it from rolling away, lol windows all worked the first thirty mins i had it. it over heats and just stops running, i have to let it sit for 10 mins or so and then drive again....anyway i want to completely redu it, where should i start ?
look at it closely, inspect everything, put a price to everything you find.
do the $ add up? or are you better off starting with something in better shape.
95rrc parts are expensive and hard to find, some are one year only.

Let's hear the brutal truth, Paul. I was thinking of a RRC at some point myself. P38 is next, though. How would the problems stack up to any other of our favorite 4x4s?
Are you looking to buy one that is as trashed as the original posted?
If it were an option, I'd do a diesel conversion myself and gain all the fuel economy.
Anything is possible. Id do some research and figure out your skill level and how much you want to get into it.
If you do some digging you will find diesel conversion's everywhere, check some out and figure what you want to do. Its not a question if it will fit, but how badly do you want it "The engine that is".
