Default 96 Range Rover no low range

Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum and new to Land Rover ownership. I am having a problem with my 96 4.0 SE. When I move the H shifter into low range, the vehicle stays in high range. The dash lights still indicate high range, and everything works as it should in high range. I removed the center console and locatedthe micro switch on the shifter that engages in low range. I tested the micro switch and it works fine, however there is no voltage at the wires feeding the microswitch. I have tried to figure out where this switch gets its voltage from, but after hours of reading and tracing wires, I can't figure it out. The switch has 2 wires going to it. 1 is blue and the other is yellow. Neither has voltage with the vehicle running. Could someone please help me shed some light on this problem.
Thank you,
Wilson
