Hi gents (and ladies),

Well, my friend just picked up my '97 4.6 HSE today. One thing that occurred to us is that we don't know what kind of fuel it's supposed to take. It looks like it's only got a 9.3:1 compression ratio, which would have me generally think regular or midgrade would be fine, but I don't want to be putting the wrong fuel in. What've you all found works best? My buddy is going to be driving the thing from where it is (Chicago) out to where I am (Pennsylvania). Ends up being something in the range of 800 miles of highway driving. Any input would be appreciated!

Reports are that this truck is really nice in person, just as the pictures showed. It's a '97 with just a few ticks under 61k miles on the clock. Looks and drives like a brand new truck, with no rust at all. There are a few problems with it, which I'm going to make separate posts about. Nothing that's particularly major, though, just little details to be addressed.

Supreme is what is called for, anything else will cost you in MPG, power and it will carbon up the engine.

Thanks for the advice. I'll tell my friend who's transporting the thing to me that he needs to throw premium in it.
