Default '97 Range Rover - internal lights

Have '97 Range rover - anyone know how to turn off internal overhead lights? I've had to take out light bulbs cuz lights are always on when I'm driving during night and day!

Does the message display say a door is open? It may not be recognizing that a door is not closed and will keep the lights on. Other than that they should be going off.

Is the button in the middle pushed down? Which lights are on exactly? Just the one in the front or all of them? Or the map lights? Do you have standard bulbs in them or LEDs?

Another thing you can do, is push and hold that center button until the center displays says "over head lights off". The lights won't come back on until you push and hold it again.
