RE: 98 Range Rover Lug Nut Help
Well there is a short handled tire iron there but it does not seem to fit securley and it actslike it will strip out the caps. So after jacking up one cap I thought I would research it more before I dig into it. We just got this thing and have had alot of problems with it. so i'm learnign as I go lol.

I had the same thing. It's kinda like hazing...the Rover just wants to make sure you can handle it
My covers feel like they have some play, but they're on there good and tight. I got the right sized socket and used my impact wrench and air compressor to get em off. The short handled tire iron should also have an accompanying hollow extension tube that slides down the handle of the shorter tire iron. That gives you a longer lever = more torque = lug nuts come off!
Although you did mess up one cap I see...interesting..Do you have the 18' wheels or the 16' wheels? Not sure if there is a difference, but like I said, Mine are one piece and came right off...just needed a bit more torque than any other vehicle I've worked with.

RE: 98 Range Rover Lug Nut Help
Some one has used the wrong size lug nut socket/wrench and has damaged your nuts.
Sometimes you can do a short term fix, which of course is better then buying new ones at the $20 a piece range.
Send me your tele number and I'll be glad to help you with this.
