98 RR w/ 111K miles, ok to buy?
I use the inorganic "green" coolant, which is what LR specifies for my year of rover. You can pick it up at any autoparts store. It is not as "enviornmentally friendly" as Dexcool and breaks down faster. So you will need to replace the coolant more often than dexcool (every 30k miles or so). IDK why they decided to go with dexcool, but I think it may be causing some problems with the bosch rovers. Why else would a perfectly good block that has been built since 1969 suddenly develope liner problems? If you want, you can switch coolant types. Just make sure the system is flushed to ensure the different coolants are not mixed.
