Default 99 range rover, height inhibitor switch - bulb swap

hi. my first post on the forum. i could not find a search option on this site or i would have done more homework.

the bulb for the height inhibitor switch went out. this is the switch that locks the height, located to the right of the height control switch. the bulb is either orange or green.

question: can the bulb be replaced without removing the entire fascia? i am getting conflicting feedback from two local LR dealers. I want to replace the bulb myself but have yet to find out how.

thoughts?

Haven't done this myself, but I would assume the bulb is an LED soldered to a board... If you have the right tools, I'm sure you could just replace the single LED.

It is just a regular bulb available from LR and can be easily replaced. There are two colors. One is orange and one is green. Not sure which color yours is. You have to remove the facia to remove the switch but not to snap it back in. You could probably remove the switch by itself without removing the facia with a very thin screwdriver, but I have not done that. Someone who works on Land Rovers every day could probably tell you for sure on that one. I just remove the facia because it only takes 15 minutes.

Oh DUH, I thought it was the suspension position indicator lights for some reason... Sorry about that. Thanks for clearing that up Wilson.

Yeah, I thought it was kind of strange that you didn't know about the little bulbs.

Thanks guys. There is certainly a separate bulb that is snapped in. I'll try removing the fascia since that seems safer. The actual switch looks huge in photos, hate to damage it while prying it free.
