Need to know if the driveshaft from the transfer case to the front diff. the same for all all P38 years? Also, what does it consist of, there is (2) parts of the driveshaft and a seal in between? I need to buy one so im figuring out what I need to know.

ROW where they have manual gearboxes and diesels they can be different.

But why do you need a new one? As long as the propshaft itself is ok, not bent or broken yokes or flanges, you can rebuild it with two new u-joints. Probably cost no more than $100-$150 if you have someone else do it. $30 if you do it yourself.

 

yea, mines completely missing, not there, broken flanges. I went to check out a 97 RR and its different, the opening on the diff is NOT circle but like square, so 95,96,97 is different, do you know which one is the same exact as my 2001? what years to look for?

 

also, the one i saw had double u joints by the front diff

 

I was only going by Rovers North listing one rear propshaft for all P38's.
