Default american/canadian help wanted.

Hi.Still in the planning stages of restoring my rr classic and thinking of some anti theft measures,I have been told that us/can spec 95 rr{auto}have a solenoid fitted on the auto gear selector preventing you selecting d or reverse etc until the ign is on stage 2 and the footbrake applied. Is this correct?
Uk rr classics do not have this feature and knowing landrover the part will fit straight in with no issues.I plan on using 1 pair of switch contacts in a thatcham immobilser to interrupt the solenoid ground, thus preventing gear selection if the car is hot wired. What i need is the part number for the solenoid. My local main stealers have no interest in looking up any part that is not uk spec, thanks in advance, tony.

A number of web sites have exploded parts diagrams on line, one is Rovers North.
