Audio Issue with Stereo and Bluetooth
Hello Forums,
I drive a 2006 Range Rover HSE and I've always found the Bluetooth system a bit quirky. Today when driving home from work I made a call, heard bluetooth kick in (usually static on the switch over) and then I placed my call. When I hung up the stereo never came back. Meaning, a CD was playing (I could see it playing), but no sound was coming out. It was as if it was stuck. This has happend once before about 6 months ago, but after parking it for the afternoon I came back to the truck and all worked well.
Has anyone else ever had something like this happen? I checked the fuses for the audio amp and telephone services this evening and they are not blown. Any help and/or feedback on this would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Andy

It might need a software update. There is a way to see what version of software it has, I just forget how to find it. There are similar problems with this on the LR3 and to my understanding there may be no remedy for it. If it does have the latest software and it still has issues. You might try resetting everything and see if that helps. After about 2 years, I usually reset any one of my vehicles just to ensure none of the data in the system is corrupted. I recently had my econo box shift stiffly and fixed it with simply disconnecting the battery for awhile. Although, in your case I doubt disconnecting the battery would do it (if you do consider this, just remember you remote key fob will most likely become deactivated). I would have the dealership look at the version of the software on the system, and update it if necessary. If the problem is still there, ask them to reset the car if they can.
