Default Best/Cheapest Rotors/Pads - No brake dust

Time to replace my front pads and rotors............any suggestions??

I am looking for the cheapest/best pad and rotor for my 97 4.6 HSE. The ones that are on here currently have the WORST brake dust issue....so I am looking for something that produces the least amount of dust

Comments and opinions please

How many miles on your current rotors?
Ceramic pads are by far the best when it comes to being nearly dust free.

I honestly don't know how many miles are on the pads OR rotors......but they both are looking like they need to be replaced.

I know ceramic is the way to go, just looking for brands to look at, and brands to stay away from.

Anyone have input on the R1 Concepts' rotors/pads?

I put Brembo cross drilled rotors with OEM pads on my 98 HSE and they were not very good ....not sure about excessive brake dust but the new set-up wasn't any better than the brakes were before I replaced them. Although we're talking a 5800 or so lb. truck so it takes a heck of a lot of effort to stop a truck that heavy.

i really like the brembo oem replacement rotor/akebono euro ceramic pad combo that i put on our 99 hse. it stops much better than whatever was on before and there is no dust. tire rack has them.

I've bought my brake pads on online stores for almost a year but still i had no problems with it. Try buying your truck parts online.
