Default Bigger tires

Hi, I have a 1993 SWB and its has coil springs. Right now it has the 205-80-16. I was wanting to put a suspension lift ( the old man emu) and wanted to know if I would be able to put a larger tire after the lift. I was thinking of a 235-85-16 or a 265-75-16. I believe that both tires are approximately 31.7" in diameter, just the 265-75 is wider. I really don't want to have any problems with scrubbing.

I'll take any advice someone can give.

Thanks.

Hey,

I have a 93 LWB 4.2l that I recently did the conversion on and talking with Ozzy http://www.ozziesoffroad.com/_wsn/page7.htmlI can go to 215/85/16 which he HAD on his before he sold it. I went with Old Man Emu medium duty springs and Old Man Emu heavy duty shocks.

The 235/80, 245/75 and the the 265/7 should all work. Just remember if you have stock axlews and diffs., that going to a 245 and up will add extra strain to you stock diffs.

Thanks for the input, I went with the 235-85-16 Federal Couragia M/T's. I will put a picture on the mods forum under my lift post. I had to go with M/Ts because that all we see to have on the coast of South Carolina (law against driving on the beach). Hopefully making a move somewhere, don't know yet, maybe somewhere with some better trails.
