Default Blend Motor help

I have a 2001 RR and have installed a rebuilt set of blend motors, I still have the dash off. The blend motors seem to work but I still have the book light on and the air is still blowing hot on one side and cold on the other. The light on the control is not on but I can see the display is working, the light did work when I took the control unit out. Need help on how to check or set the blend motors to work before putting the dash back on. Help.

A 2011 Rover would still be under warranty. How did they go bad so soon and why aren't you making the dealer fix this?

make sure they are working and make sure the wires are installed correctly in the connector.

The wiring is correct as best as I can tell from the install inforamtion I looked at on line. My questions is about testing the units, how do I test them and know what to expect? I seem to have control of the air movment but the blending of air is still off, one side is hot and one is cold, this is opposite of what I had when I replaced them. I still have the book on the control unit so I guess they are not working correctly? More suggestions please.
