Default buying a 01 RR SE

Would anyone recommend buying a 2001 Range Rover SE with 78000 miles? Will it be exspensive to maintain. What kind of problems can I expect? Thanks for the info.

The p38 as I recall had minor electrical issues that can usually be fixed with a screw driver and some ingenuity but, this link I sent you shows any "documented" problem you could possibly have. I doubt you'll experience all of those problems but, you can see that most are relatively easy to fix. http://www.rangerovers.net/newrremedies.htm

Range Rovers are relatively expensive to maintain... especially when compared to other brands. A lot of the costs can be minimized with DIY operations but there are still major parts that can break (EAS system, engine, etc). Typical upkeep can range from nothing to a couple thousand just depending on what happens to go wrong. There are a number of potential electrical and mechanical problems. some are cheap to repair/replace and some are exceedingly expensive. The Rover is NOT a cheap car to maintain though.
