Get a PPI for sure. Service records are nice to review too so you can see a history of failures, or not.
My '08 is still going strong at 120k. Scheduled maintenance, brakes and tires, and a new radiator at 60k.
I'm told they can eat brakes so I'd ensure they are relatively new, although most of my driving is on the highway and mine have lasted +50k each for pads and rotors.

Yes they eat brakes, both are extremely heavy cars.
my recommendation is either the 4.4L or 5.0L V8 in the L322 (2006-2012 years), the tailgate is fantastic, the car is generally reliable, and drives very nicely.
