A/C system has an awkward problem...
I recently purchased a 1996 RR p38 that has a few problems that are extremely minor and worth fixing considering the condition of everything else on the vehicle. But, one thing that has me completely baffled is the A/C system malfunctioning... There is not "book" illuminated in the climate control display and the compressor clutch engages and I can hear it compressing away but, for whatever the reason the small compressor pipe gets hot (as it should) but, the large pipe stays the temperature of the engine compartment... Some have told me there might be a clog in the A/C system but, i figured that would be to easy considering its a Range Rover and it might be some Biometrically triggered electronic valve that might need its voice recognition repaired hehe j/k. I would also like to note that the smaller pipe gets EXTREMELY hot and that the a/c does not cycle on and off like it should.
I noticed that it was recharged about one year ago in the service records and that they even tested for leaks and could not find any. Would it still be heating up on the hot side if it needed to be recharged?
