Default crazy rangie prices

I'vebeen looking at new generationrange rovers on autotrader.com, cars.com and used cars.com, they have 2003 and 2004 rangies for $25000 to $30000 are these prices right maybe due to the currentgas prices , ordo they sound too cheap to be true, which is not a good thing or that's what i should expect to pay for one about 45,000 miles. CAN SOMEBODY ADVICE ME PLEASE!

They're probably right....Rovers historically don't hold their value.

Wait until you buy one at that price and it's worth (maybe) 60% of it 6-mos later....

Prices are all over the place right now, maybe due partially to gas prices. At that mileage you're going to find them on the low end because they're about to go out of warranty, (50k miles). If you're looking for a daily driver that won't cost an arm & leg to maintain try to find a low mileage 04 - 06 which is certified or at minimum has an extended warranty. You'll pay a little more up front but reduce your overall life cycle cost and increase your peace of mind. The best buy right now would be a low mileage 05; last year of the BMW drive train.

i heard the bmw drive train is superior to the new jaguar drive train, eventhough the jaguar is more fuel efficient. the 2003-2005 range rovers don't have the terrain response system and the gps is not as sophisticated as the newer range rovers, is this a good thing. and what things should i look at when buying a range rover (mechanically)

Get something that's either 1) new or 2) certified with a comprehensive extended service contract.
