Dead Battery/Nav ECU
Okay, I posted here a couple weeks ago about my issue I've been having with my battery always being dead in the morning. Took it to the dealership, they put in two batteries, still dead. Well we finally talked to the manager and he suggested we bring it back - did so, just got diagnosis...
They say the navigation system stays on, do the ECU needs to be replaced, which of course costs a whopping $3000 to fix. Has anyone had this issue? I'm thinking more about just trying to find the part and replacing it myself...
Any suggestions?

Might be able to get a used ECU somewhere else. Some how this doesn't sound like an ECU problem though... Something is not turning off like its supposed to. Is there another place you can take it too for a second opinion?

I agree! They have called back and said that the disc to the unit is getting stuck and getting the disc door open which is signalling it to constantly run. However, they are still a bit unsure so they are going to take the disc out, keep the truck for a couple days - if the battery dies...that's not the problem! I can't afford to pay for guesses at this point...
we shall see...
we shall see...
