Question Electric brake control

Need to add one to the 01 4.6 HSE. What is the best source? Advantage to have Land Rover do the install? Brand of Controler, I use Draw-Tite.
Any input!

Do you mean you need a new electric brake pump?

I Think he is talking about electric brake controllers for pulling a trailer. I have never put one on my p38, but have on trucks. I can't imagine that the install is any different on a p38, but I am not 100% sure. As for brand, as long as you go with a reputable company and get a higher end model, I think you will be ok. Good luck with the install. What are you planning on towing? With a small trailer, you really don't need brakes, just lights. If you are planning on towing something heavy on a regular basis, I would consider buying a truck. The p-38 is not really designed for that.

I'm guessing you want one for a pop up camper or something like that? That's about all I know of that would have trailer brakes and might be something you'd be able to tow with the P38, depending on size of course.

I've used Draw Tite in the past in pickups, no issues. I can't think of anything special about the P38 that wouldn't allow a standard controller to work.

Thanks, going to pull (2) different trailers with it. One is 18 ft Tandem axle Horton Hauler empty is 2,850#
The 2nd is a 25ft Grady White Boat with Surge brakes about 4,100#
Third is a 28 ft Race car hauler but that will still be the Suburbans job to pull. Loaded it is about 7,800#
Looking for a plug and play wiring for the P38. I know LR Columbia S.C. can put one in but was trying to see of I could in my shop.
