Electric forced cold air intake?

its the 2nd one down, any one ever used this? is it any good? does it work? it sounds kinda cool. i don't think it would mess up anything.

I'm gonna say it looks pretty useless. I can't see a little fan generating much "boost" over what normally flows through the intake at speed. Actually it might just get in the way. Plus the electrical drag to run the thing won't help. Waste of money.
On a mass air flow sensor equipped vehicle, getting cold air into the engine does increase performance. So yes, your engine will probably make a little more power. I doubt, however if you will be able to notice it. In my opinion, on a vehicle such as a Range Rover, it is a waste of money. On a Mustang, or other performance car I think it is a great idea.
i agree, a friend did this air intake thing and noticed no significant improvement. but if you can do some experimentation with it, you might just see some results

I have a K&N FIPK kit on my Jeep - complete "cold" air intake kit. It might help a tad with fuel economy and maybe a little grunt - although I run an oversize stainless header also. If you help it breathe, help it exhale too. Mostly it just makes it louder. But the wash-ablitity is nice since i do drive in the dust a good bit.
I have a BSR cold air kit on my Saab turbo, again with an oversized downpipe. On a boosted application I've noticed more improvement in throttle response via the butt dyno historically, no exception here.
I have just a K&N drop in filter on my Rover, mostly for the washability. Anything more for this application isn't doing anything IMHO.
