how can you tell if my range rover 2001 has BOSH ENGINE OR SOMETHING different, I am trying to buy parts and some of them says only fits BOSH engines, also what is this VIN # VA346794 they asking when you buy part, my VIN is SALLPAMJ31A452861,

Being a 2001, I can't imagine it is a GEMS engine. For a 4.6L, 1998 was the last official year they made stateside GEMS engines. But, they do look MUCH different from each other, so look at the pics.
