Default Fan problems

Hi I have a 97 rover and the fan has stopped communicating with the brain. The air conditioning and heater are still working great with temp the fan has just stopped pushing air thoughout the car. I took the fan out and tested it, and it still works fine. Any insight?

Do youhave the notebook error signal in your LCD display?

There's 2 blower relays in the fusebox under the hood - have you checked them?

Default RE: Fan problems

I get this same problem once per year on a 96 at almost the same time - in fact a few weeks ago when I went into get one of the relays, the receipt from the one last year was 2 days off of this year. While the relays in mine look good, just one prong on the lower relay, each year "burns" out. I get a replacement from Napa and put it in - notebook goes away, all works. Local shop told me it's a common problem as the AC
runs more during summer and just burns relay up. Don't think this is a "technical" solution, but it's a $24 fix for a annual problem on a car that is
getting limited driving by our teenagers...

Hey thanks for all the help. However I am having trouble testing the relays, how do I test the relays? I switched the fan relays that are in the 6 and 7 spots with other relays that I thought were working. However I am still not getting anything working.
