I posted an issue with the front right hand door of my rover because it kept telling me that the door was open even when it was closed... Someone had mentioned that it was the actuator and I purchased one on Ebay and the seller said the problem might be a DOOR - ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT - RIGHT HAND & LEFT HAND FRONTI am not sure what this part is or what it does. Does anyone have any suggestions?

It is an outstation ecu. It monitors and controls doorfunctions as well as communicates withthe BeCM. It basically the "middle man".Also, your issue could be due to a faulty microswitch in the door latch. The door outstation ecu is located behind the door panel. There is one behind the driver's door and one behind the passenger door.
