Default Glowing park indicator

New to me 99 P38 4.0S
Everything off, doors closed, key out the park indicator LED glows about half brightness all the time. Any guess as to where this voltage may be coming from?
Bad harness connection, dirty switch, pinched or shorted wire somewhere I may never locate? Any thoughts from anyone who has been into the center console would be helpful.
Thanks for your participation!

Check all your ground points for a good clean connection, esp the one the cluster is attached to.

Dont do anything its NORMAL, the light will extinguish when your BECM decides to go to sleep, (several minutes) it will stay awake if it sees a door open and close, an alarm signal or any thing like that. if it never goes out you will experence a dead battery.

Ladies and Gentlemen: We have a winner! Thanks to durtyduk I can stop worrying about the park LED glowing. If I wait a few minutes and check back indeed the LED has gone off. Thanks for the help.
