Well that's good to know! We will have to find someone other than the dealership to go to for sure. They fixed the alternator we replaced a year or so ago, it went out like 3 months later - they said it was a bad alternator. That was a $1300 job. What's with the parts "going bad", is that just the catchall phrase for "I don't know what's wrong with it"?

Is there a BMW shop anywhere close? Your RR has a lot of BMW components that they would be familiar with, specifically the engine.

Actually yes there is a BMW specialist shop nearby, actually about 20 minutes from my house. I thought that but I never see anything other than a BMW there. I am going to call them...thanks!
