Default Help! Signal lights on continously

97 Range Rover4.0SE. A couple of times this month, the dash warned of a faulty front left signal light but it looked fine after inspecting outside. Yesterday, when hitting the left signal light again, the warning beep and message showed up again but was followed by a slight smell of an electical burn noticed by myslef and the passengers!

Now the left side marker light and left rear signal light are permanently on (as in continously on, not flashing, and even when the engine is off) and the left front signal light is out completely.

I tried pulling out the bulb from the left front signal light but no change. Tried pulling out the relay in the engine compartment with the icon of a headlight and windshield wiper, and still no change. I finally disconnected the battery.

Any ideas? Help!
