high idle on p38 (pls help)

Oblonging the holes and turning the sensor is so it gives a lower value to the ecu, it is masking the problem, but will lower your idle, forgot to mention check the cables

the poster who suggested tps is correct. unfortunately something came out of whack between ecu and sensor at some point....it needs to be (1) reset with software to get idle setting etc or (2) you can take the tps out and make a sliding/turning where screws are. then adjust when engine is hot and running.

i have the same problem with mine and i dont think i totally fixed it. but i do know you want to adjust when engine is hot and not when start up cold since cold temp sensor loop will run and give you an inacurrate setting point.

if there is a shop that has the landy software they can reset idle base setting for you as well....and they will adjust through ecu software not gerryrigging the tps.
