loss of power 2.5DSE
I saw a posting on this forum, rearding a similar type of problem but cant find it again.
I have a 1999 Range Rover 2.5 DSE. I love it as a car off road vehicle, however one problem is driving me round the bend.
At anytime, I am driving along, the car responds to the accelator pedal just fine, then for what appears to be no particular reason, the engine goes flat !!! and then once flat it stays flat.
It starts to struggle and pushing the pedal to the floor has no effect. It almost sems lke a governor has kicked in.
Turning off the motor and allowing the engine to cool fixes it but only for a short distance.
So far, I have read somewhere else that it might be the air intake pipe to the turbo which is collapsing.
It might be the MAP sensor (dont know what that is)
Has anone posting here ever heard of a similar probme and if so do they know a solution to it, any repsonses would be great
