so been looking at 01,02 rr. most have over 60k. seem pretty cheap, don't mind turning a wrench, was a regular in the disco area for awhile and loved the forum. so, what if anything should i look for with these trucks? and will be getting a comprhensive aftermarket warranty. any help appreciated. thanks, Bill

 

low wear, good brakes, good shocks, documented service history is a big plus. Tires wear out quicker due to the weight - so newer tires help the picture.

Be less concerned about minor accident history and more concerned about the clean, low wear interior, one that wasn't towing alot and had the tranny serviced already. No warning lights on... see if you can get the codes ran on it to see what is stored in memory...

Beware -- some ultra-low mileage ones were lemons that sat in shops for months on end... There are also flood victim repairs where the unit was out of service for some time, resulting in lower miles.

well the range rover that year had the same motor as the disco so pretty much same flaws your disco had it is possible the range will have usual leaks, head gaskets, tbox leaks, axel leaks. heater core orings blend door motors
