Default Maybe a good deal??

Hi everyone, Im new to the RR stuff, I'm currently in the market to buy one and I was wondering if you think this is a good deal? It's a 2004,75k miles, silver w/black int. Truck is very clean been in texas all this time. The truck needs new brake pads and to my knowledge that's it. Im thinking im going to be able to buy this truck for around $17,500. I'm not sure if I should buy this or just buy a 06 with about 35k or 40k miles. More money for the 06 for sure but would it be worth it. I only plan on keeping the truck for about 2yrs maybe. Thanks for any advice

The 04 is a good deal, not incredible but, good. 06 RRs will run about 30 to 40k depending on where you buy one. The 06-MY RR is better than the BMW one because it has that awesome Jag engine in them as well as many other bells and whistles that don't come with the L322 (BMW RR). The 06 is going to run a lot more than an 04 but, if you want to spend the money, go for it.

Thanks for your help, Do the 06-newer RR have less problems due to the jag powered motor. If the 03-05's are more prone to having problems then I don't mind spending the money on a 06. I understand that any used car is not perfect and even a new car can breakdown.

The 2003-2005 RR did have some reliability issues. From what I understand there was a driveshaft issue that was a big problem. When the new Jag engine was put in 2006, there were also some other changes that did improve the reliability considerably.

If I were you, I would buy the 2006 if you can afford it.

Remember one thing.....these vehicles are VERY expensive to fix when something goes wrong. More than BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche in my experience. Just a thought. If possible, get the warranty.
