Default New P 38 owner having alarm problems.

Bought a 99 4.0S with 179k on it for$2700 in great shape inside and out. Runs good when the becm is in a good mood. I've replaced the engine bay fuse box and everything is working now including the air ride. My key fob doesn't work and I can only get the thing to accept the key in door about half the time. Lights flash when key is turned in door every time so the lock is working. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like your key fob isnt sync'd.

Security and Alarm System Operation & Diagnosis on Range Rover 4.0/4.6/P38A

bout a quarter of the way down is instructions.

but basically lock the truck with the key in the door then hit the lock button on the fob to resync. mine desyncs everytime I unhook the battery.
