Newbie buying suggestion needed
Hi group,
I am completely unfamiliar with the Land Rover / Range Rover series of cars. So far I do know that I am looking for something in the P38A series, basically because of my target price of under $10,000
I would appreciate any year/model suggestions that you guys have, also what to look for when shopping for an used car in this model range and pit falls and lemon model years etc.
Thank you
Robin

Mike,
Thanks for the reply, no off road at all. This carwill be used as the family truckster, for whenever we go out withour 13 month old. Currently all the cars in our stableare way too small, need a bigger car that will fit more than a baby stroller. So the Range Rover came in mind as it is BIG, SAFE, andunique.
The only 4 wheel drive car I have right now isa Porsche Carrera 4, which is an amazing 4 wheel drive car. But for "On road" only.........
Thanks

OK, welcome the newest member to the family.
Just bought an used 1996 Range Rover 4.6 HSE. 44k miles for $10,000. Engine transmission is strong, but of course EAS needs work. Also couldn't get the radio to work either, so... just few minor things. The car is in great shape, was told this was a one owner car, someone in Beverly hills used to own it, that's explains the low miles.
I will be posting few questions here very quickly hopefully to get some help to resolve them. Thanks
