Hi group,

Just bought a 1996 Range Rover 4.6 HSE, the factory radio doesn't seem to work. First when I turned it on it just displayed 4 code on the screen, something like 5144 or something like that. I called the dealer and gave them my VIN number, and they told me the radio security code is 5244, I was like wow! that's almost the same digital it was showing on the screen. No buttons will work to allow me to enter the secuirty code so I took the radio out and disconnected everythign and installed it back. Now when I turn on the radio it is showing ---- but non of the buttons will work to allow me to enter the security code.

Any ideas?

Try:www.roverville.us Roverville - Radio Repair, they repair nothing but Land Roverradios.I found them on www.rangerovers.net andhad my 1995 D-90 radio repaired/rebuilt there, it was in pretty rough shape, years of drink spills and our dog standing on it, but it came back to me like new and in no time at all.As well as the buttons not all working on mine it also had a bad LCD so I could not see to enter thecode, I figure I locked it up with all mytrying. I highly recommend Roverville - Radio Repair!
