Newbie seeking advice
Hello forum, I'm looking to buy a P38 2.5 diesel in France.
I was wondering what should I look for in terms as parts that should have been changed ar that tend to go wrong on this particular model. I heard that the 2.5 BMW engine is quite strong once it has never overheated.
Is 250'000km a bit to high for this engine?
I'm planning to use the car daily to cover an average of 50km every day mon to fri. Since I live in the Alps I need a good 4X4 and space for my family.
Thank you very much for your kind feedback.

Well it seems like most guys on this forum live in the states and we aren't fortunate enough to have the diesels here. With proper maintenance most diesels can last significantly longer than a petrol engine. With that being said I have no specific knowledge of the 2.5L but I imagine it is probably a pretty good one.
