Default no screen in my 2004 RR....Ideas?

Well,

I bought my 2004 RR about 8 months ago and today I encountered my first real problem. When I started it the radio is playing fine but I have no screen, it's black with a little bit of back lighting coming through. The nav and other functions will not display as well.

Is the screen repairable, can it be replaced, does it unplug and a new one able to plug back in? What in terms of cost am I looking at.

Thanks for any input.

Mally

That has happened in my P38 2x when it sat out in the cold (-5) over night. I drove for about an hour then parked for 10min (to get some Starbucks) restarted and all was fine. I might add on mine when this happened I had not volume control. I made a post to see if others had seen a similar problem. Yours is the closest problem I have seen.
P.S. all is working fine now.
