Default Odd.....

My RR p38 was making some odd noises today when I put it in drive and park again to see what the transmission fluid levels were. It only happened when I put it in drive and it eventually would go away. The fluids are right where they should be and the fluid looks clean, I ordered a filter replacement kit and plan on replenishing the transmission fluid. I took it out for a short drive and noticed that it only happened when accelerating, it is a very faint sound and sounds like something is loose down there.... the noise seems to be coming from center console so I would assume its the transmission it sounds almost as if there are gears rattling. I haven't even had this thing for a week and I'm already considering selling it just because of that faint noise. I'm hoping maybe its the torque converter... but I could be wrong. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

its a 1996 with 160,000 on the clock. Some other notes, it only seems to do it on the lower gears while accelerating rather fast, if i drive it like i normally do then I do not hear a thing. I also sat with it in Drive and would hold the brake and push the accelerator, the RPMs would not go past 2k so nothing seems to be wrong there... there aren't any warning lights either. I am wonder if it is normal and am going to ask my boss if I can drive his classic with a recently replaced transmission in it and see if I can replicate the sound.
