Is Off Roading Horrible for Your Alignment?
Nope. I don't feel it's necessary most of the time. It may toe a bit one way or the other but as long as it's not excessive or bothersome I don't get it realigned. I've heard some people claim it's an absolute must... but, some fellow off-road enthusiasts I was talking to mentioned they took their rigs in a couple times after off-roading and had the alignment shop check them out. Apparently it's really not necessary. If you want to, go for it, and sometimes it might need it but you should be just fine most of the time without a realignment.
Guess it really just depends on where you're off-roading and what you run into.

well it depends on how out of hand it gets, my chief service writer went to an event (farm in charlottesville) apparently there were 400 trucks there, a real ugly rock pile and a mudpie that would make any offroader shudder. Total cost of event 1 bumper cover, 2 airsprings, one panhard rod and one tie rod, he told me it was worth it. scott
P.S.They actually had a bulldozer at the mudpie to pull out the rovers. only 1 defender and one extremly sick disco 1 made it accross. no other trucks other then rover were welcomed to the event.
