Mobil1 1-301, because it's the same filter as K&N 3001

I go along with Street Wolfs, Mobil 1-301, it is made by the same company as the K&H to the same specs just a couple dollars cheaper.

I use Wix 51515. It's a top rated filter and costs me about $4.50.
Second choice is Baldwin B2, also top rated, but they are about $7.
I figure if they are good enough for the folks who make their living with equipment using them they are good enough for me.
Been using Wix and Baldwin/Hastings for about 30 years.

IMHO the guys who know their filter numbers actually change their oil on a frequent basis. The guys who change it or have it changed every even birthday, or every Olympiad, well that's another issue - no wonder they can't recall the filter number.

I use the Fram Extra Guard PH8a because I can get it everywhere and it is reasonably priced. The PH8a is an oversized filter which has more filter media and holds extra oil which is why I go with it.
