Default Oil question

I have a 2002 4.6 HSE. What weight are you using in the winter? Conventional or synthetic? And how many quarts with a filter replacement?

Thanks!

I typically use 10w-40 during the summer. Now that it is cooling down, the service manual suggests a lighter oil. So I will probably be using a 5w-30 or 5w-40. You can use conventional or synthetic. I personally like conventional oil that is formulated for older engines. Mine takes about 5 quarts with a filter replacement.
