Default p38 sport?

Ok I know there are prolly plenty of ppl that will say sh*t bc their against these conversions, and to each his own. I just was wondering if theres anyone here that has done a sport conversion on a p38 and does anyone know if to do this its just a matter of getting the headlights and grille then fabbing the headlight mount panel? or do the kits have something special to make is conversion done right? Ive email rangeover.uk,simmonites, and rogersons and no one will help me out. I also read some where that in Land Rover Monthly they showed how the conversion is done, anyone know what month or anything on this? thanks and sorry for the long *** post.

apparantly so..

Are you looking for a real, functional conversion or just the looks of the sport package? I very well may be wrong but doesn't the sport package give you a better suspension and different trans kit?

Im just talking about the headlights, grille, and bumpers. I just wanted to know if all I need to do is to fabricate the mountings to make OEM parts fit or do I need to buy a kit from like Range Over,Simmonites,or Rogersons.

Hi,

Had some work done on my P38 at simmonites: new style headlights and grill with the side vents put on the wings.
Added to this are 20" stormer alloys and stainless steel side bars that are custom made to fit the P38.
Car does look good quite a head turner, but will never be in the same league as a sport. As for rangeover not impressed by the quility
they offer.

Jon
