I keep getting the ignition key in warning while my key has been removed. The ignition is turned off. Has any one experienced this problem and what was the remendy?

The keyless entry is deactivated because of the warning.

Your key might have gone out of synchronization. Your RR is most likely warning you that if you don't re-sync your key fob. Its going to immobilize itself until you punch in the EKA access code. Which is a PIA...

I think it is just the the little sensor in the switch that tells you if the key is in the ignition or not. Mine used to do it all the time. I sprayed a little dry graphite lubricant on my key and worked it in and out a bunch of times and it took care of the problem. It's really not a problem other than being annoying. It isn't an sign of impending doom or anything.

Thanks Krazzz! I think that was the problem because the last couple of times that I have driven the vehicle when took the key out of the ignition it seems to be fine now. I'll put alittle graphite on the key tomorrow morning.
