Default Range Rover - Install Air Suspension Shock Absorber L322

Hi All,

My air suspension inactive warning light came up on the dashboard and it turned out that the left hand air bag had ripped.

I watched a number of videos online which inspired me to give it a go myself.

I decided to record the whole installation process including any challenges and obstacles I came across in the video link below.

If you are considering attempting this, maybe the above video will give
you some useful tips or that extra bit of confidence needed to do it
yourself.

If I can do it, anyone can, but just make sure you pay most of your attention to safety.

Kind Regards

Patrick Simons.

I would never get under a car no matter how many Jack Stands are supporting it!

hey thanks for the video information! i do have one question for you. could you elaborate further on what you did to get the bags active again? my rovers bags have been "Air Suspension Inactive" for some time now and i do not want to replace the bags and risk ruining them by not being able to activate them and then lower the car. thanks!!!

I have software from rswsolutions.com however in my case it was not necessary to clear the fault. The only issue I had was getting the bag to inflate after the new one was installed. Because the car was jacked up at the front the sensors indicated that it was raised so I needed to lower the front until it was almost resting on the bump stops.

It's possible that the fault you have will require clearing before the compressor will kick in again. If the compressor runs constantly trying to inflate a bag that's busted it will go into a hard fault.

Thanks for the response! I was reading another thread and came across where someone had used the mkIII rswsolution tool. Just wanted to make sure that this would work before dropping 250$ on it. I'm just waiting now to hear back from them to see if the software is compatable with my Mac computer.
