The 2008 LR3 HSE with 5k miles is worth about $33k wholesale.

BUDZNY,
What does G4 mean?

That would be for a regular Supercharged Range Rover and not Range Rover Sport? I am wanting to buy this car certified at a dealer and I am trying to have the necessary info to get the best deal possible.
Thanks,
Jack

By the way--is it even wise to buy one with only 3000 miles in three years. I believe I have been warned befor that too much time sitting around unused is not good?

Carnut,
I should also add that I am in the Orange County (Dana Point), California area.

Yes, that is for the regular RR, not sport. The sport however looks like it has about the same wholesale value. You are correct...these vehicles need to have the oil changed and serviced twice a year regardless of miles to avoid sludge buildup. I would definitely ask the dealer about this. Keep in mind that when you buy a certified one, the cost of the extended warranty (certified warranty) will increase the final cost of the vehicle. Land Rover now offers certified warranties that are 1 or 2 years long past the original warranty.

Orange county may increase the value a bit. If you think they are asking too much out there, then buy one in another state.

Hi Carnut,
I realize this is an old thread so you might not see this post... However, it was really helpful of you to provide all this information to people on here. I just recently bought a 2006 Range Rover (fullsize) HSE with 68600 miles from a wholesaler who specializes in high end cars. It is a one owner car in excellent condition, clean carfax, no body work, all service records in hand. I paid $26500 plus tax, license and registration to get me out the door for around $29k. I was pretty happy with that. What do you think?
Thanks in advance for your time!!
