Default Rear wiper change?

I've had my 1998 RR for years and now I need to change the wiper blades.

The two in the front were simple, the rear blade is a pain.

Do I have to turn on the rear window blade and kill the battery when it reaches the down stroke to be able to replace the blade?

Thanks

I ended up take the arm off, slide the plastic cap straight off, I think the arm nuts is a 13 or 14mm. It's pretty easy to due and was less time then trying to blade off.

Turn it on walk around to the back and wait for the wiper to become centered in the window. At that time hit the button to open the hatch. The wiper will stop.
