Default Reliability of RR sport

Hi,
New to forums and looking into buying RR sport 2006. Are they reliable (as in repairs and break downs) and do the RR in general hold there value. Are they expensive to fix. New to this game of british cars.

Thanks in advance

Default RE: Reliability of RR sport

when i was working at land rover i saw quite a few RRS come in with their air suspension hight sensors failing, either making the ride height extend fully or lower, easily fixed though, take wheel off then just change the height sensor and your done

To answer a couple of your questions ---at least based on my opinion and experience -- yes it is expensive to repair as are most vehicles that are expensive to buy. Secondly --- no it does not hold it's re-sale value very well, as most British vehicles historicallydo not.

British vehicle reliability is now the best it has ever been. However-- everything is relative, and British automotive products lag behind many other marques in todays world ---in this area. The cost ofownership-per-mile is very high (especially after the warranty period is expired).

In other words, if you have the dough to buy a new(or near-new)one, do it for the short term pleasure of having one and driving it ....really driving it. But don't think of it as a investment, a future classic, or a cost-effective mode of transport. It is none of these.
